Best Customer Service of the Year Scottish Restaurant Awards 2012
The competition
The Scottish Café and Restaurant is very pleased to announce that it has been voted as winner of the category Best Customer Service of the Year in the Scottish Restaurant Awards, jointly sponsored by 5pm.co.uk and Business Insider.
The awards take in the breadth of food experiences available right across Scotland. With 14 award categories, it’s a celebration of talent and quality: from top hotels to takeaways; from new chefs to established businesses.
4,000 restaurants were nominated across Scotland for the awards, and whittled down to 39 finalists, whom the judges visited as mystery shoppers to evaluate customer experience.
The winners were unveiled on Monday 27th February, at a glamorous ceremony hosted by Tam Cowan at the Glasgow Science Centre.

What we do well
Winning the category Best Customer Service of the Year means we’ve been acknowledged as a restaurant that keeps a clear focus on our customers through everything we do.
As the name implies, Scottish produce is key at the Scottish Café & Restaurant. Our menu reads like a Who’s Who of Scotland’s artisan producers. Part of the National Galleries complex, the Scottish Café is run by the acclaimed team from Centotre.
Our staff are not only fantastically well trained, but they are also completely on top of their product knowledge, and demonstrate a genuine sense of hospitality.
The Scottish Café & Restaurant serves large numbers of international visitors as well as locals. It is heartening to know that they all receive a warm welcome, along with a real taste of Scotland.

Background to the awards
The Scottish Restaurant Awards 2012, in association with Business7 and 5pm.co.uk, are now in their fifth year. They acknowledge the outstanding creativity, customer service and top quality dining that is on offer throughout Scotland.
5pm.co.uk offers consumers a free online booking site for restaurants. The site also offers consumers the opportunity to read reviews, real and honest assessments written only by clients who have dined in the venues.
