There’s lots happening in the run up to Christmas, but we’ll give you a taster here:
Lovely new private dining room at Centotre
Last month we redesigned, refreshed and are very excited to relaunch our downstairs private dining room at Centotre. The space now seats up to 20 in a boardroom format or unto 30 for a private event.
You can book the dining room for lunch, dinner, tutored wine tastings, whisky tasting, cocktail parties… or the best breakfast meeting room in town (minimum number: 14 people).
Looking to make a get together a real occasion? To book the dining room, contact Annabel.

The National Gallery of Scotland is showcasing a retrospective exhibition of our dear family friend John Bellany. A celebration of his work as he reaches the age of 70, the exhibition will include watercolours, drawings and prints.
With a wide range of subject matters, the exhibition will be the largest and most extensive of Bellany’s paintings for over 25 years.
The exhibition opens on 17 November, and runs through until the end of January. Find out more here.
Why not join us afterwards at The Scottish Cafe for an afternoon tea, and a chance to chat over your favourite pictures? Or choose our set menu lunch, and make a real day of it.
Sneak preview of our Kitchen Garden Cottage
We were so excited to unveil our kitchen garden, Casa San Lorenzo, to you earlier in the year. Now that the garden is well in hand, thanks to Erica’s expertise, we’re turning our attention to a new project: a self-catering cottage.
We’ve turned the Victorian lodge on the same site into a well-equipped, cosy holiday cottage. Our Italian and Scottish heritages will be easy to spot in the way we’ve decorated it.
We can’t wait to show you more. We’ll let you know when the cottage website is up and running. And if you’ve any suggestions for what you think makes a great self-catering stay, email me!
