“Having come from a background of running my own restaurants, I wanted to work in a restaurant whose ideals were close to my heart!
The food had to be really fresh, cooked to order and all made on the premises.
So: welcome to Centotre.
At Centotre we take our food so very seriously – our fruit, vegetables and Mozzarella di Bufala arrive every Friday from Milan. In my career I have never come across quality produce like this!
The Pachino tomatoes really do taste of the sun and the Italian peaches are so juicy and peachy! As for the Mozzarella di Bufala and Bocconcini, they are so creamy! All our fish and meat come from Scotland – and our many artisan suppliers.
Our kitchen operates from 6am until 1am the next day and we have a great team. Maciek and Slawek make fresh pastries, pasta, desserts and breakfast every day without fail. Marcin runs the kitchen, Fabio – Pizza King, and Adam and Leandro keep the dishes and cutlery washed.
Front of house – I love my team – Sarah and Elise who do so much, and Ryan who moves so fast you can’t catch him. Maria looks after the bar and makes the best coffee. Not forgetting the rest of the team on the floor who turn up every day and look after all our fantastic customers!
Centotre is all sorts of different things to all our customers. It is like working in a little community called Centotre. We have very faithful, regular customers.
We start the day with a bacon roll and cappuccino, and move on to a quick bowl of Contadino at lunch. Late afternoon could mean a bottle of Prosecco after work, followed by a family dinner or private business meeting downstairs, with a set menu and wines to match.
